NY Harbor reopens, bringing hope to the fuel-hungry

Excerpt:

New York Harbor, shown above, reopened Friday after it was shut because debris in the water from Superstorm Sandy made shipping dangerous. The reopening raised hopes that tankers would soon be bringing fuel to the gas-starved region. New York Harbor reopened Friday for the first time since Superstorm Sandy roared in and scattered debris into the waterway that is a vital conduit for the city's commerce, including the tankers that bring New York and New Jersey fuel. The  Port of New York and New Jersey's reopening raised hopes that the fuel shortage that has caused the worst gas lines in the Northeast since the energy crisis in the 1970's would soon end.
