Reports: Russian weapons designer slain in street
MOSCOW - A weapons designer at a Russian defense sector business that makes rifles, grenade launchers and other arms was shot dead on a city road in a contract-style killing, police force authorities and media reports stated. The deputy chief designer at the research and manufacturing facility in Tula, an arms-producing city south of Moscow, was found dead with a bullet injury in his head on Wednesday evening, the federal Investigative Committee stated. State television identified the sufferer as Vyacheslav Trukhachev and stated detectives think the killing may have been connected to his job at the Central Sports and Hunting Weapons Research and Design Bureau.
